MBK Healthcare Management Pte Ltd (“MHM”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui”) has supported Mitsui’s participation in a Series Seed Extension round of Decoded Health, Inc. (“Decoded”), a United States based health technology and digital medicine company. MHM will continue to support Mitsui through managing this investment.

Decoded has developed a first of its kind Clinical Hyperautomation Platform, leveraging explainable machine learning with Human-In-the-Loop Task Autonomy to automate patient conversations and augment the physician’s clinical workflow. Their platform automates clinical tasks with an end-to-end solution that can process and provide clinical inference and intelligent recommendations from patient interactions to the physician. This will help transform physician productivity and patient engagement. It functions as a virtual medical resident by processing and providing clinical inference from interactions with patient, providing intelligent recommendations to the physicians as well as fully automate documentation.

 

AI-enabled decision support solutions such as Decoded’s are increasingly important to alleviate the rising pressures in healthcare systems worldwide brought on by ageing populations, escalating healthcare costs and a healthcare workforce shortage.

 

Decoded’s focus on improving both the physician’s and the individual’s experience aligns this investment with Mitsui & MHM’s goal of transforming patient care and productivity of providers. MHM aims to facilitate collaborations between Mitsui’s existing portfolio companies and Decoded, as well as help Decoded expand their presence globally.
